Leaders don’t. They are Rainmakers. This means they are consistently recruiting, building, teaching, planning, learning, making adjustments and pushing forward. Leaders are Continue reading
This may seem like a simple concept, but “no”, that tiny little word, has more of an impact on your business than any other force out there. A person’s success is entirely dependent on how many “no’s” they can sustain, without a loss of enthusiasm. So, ask yourself, are you ready for “no”? Continue reading
So many times, people get into Network Marketing, sign up 5-10 people, then sit back on the side lines and wait to get rich. Oh, they’re great at cheering on their team, but often, they take a seat in the bleachers and that’s all they do. “Go, go, go! – Do meetings! Invite! Go to this meeting – go to that meeting, get on this call, make appointments, show the plan…” Continue reading
To you health, wealth and success!
Most people don’t think it’s possible to become that Top leader in their company, or that inventor, or that small business gone big business, that unstoppable athlete, or that superstar. Most people believe that they weren’t destined for greatness! Why are SO many people content with mediocrity? This just blows my mind. You might be thinking right now, “I don’t think that!” But what you think, and what you believe, are two different stories. Continue reading
This may seem like common sense but is the biggest mistake people make in sales and marketing. Most sales don’t happen instantly. Follow up is imperative because a relationship is built over time. The reason people buy National brands is because they are bombarded with advertising, so when it comes time to make a choice, it seems familiar.
Don’t be surprised when people don’t “buy” from you the first time. Continue reading
Most people think that success in Direct Selling is about a new “incredible” product, or a “lucrative” compensation plan, or getting in on “the ground floor”. The truth is, there are hundreds of GREAT products, all the compensations pay well – they have to, in order to stay competitive and “ground floor” doesn’t mean anything. In fact, most experienced Network Marketers will NOT join a company until they know it won’t fail in the first year or two! Continue reading
Most people have no idea that is recommended that they consume 9-13 servings of fruits and vegetables EVERY single day. Just by doing so, you could reduce your risk of every chronic disease by one third. Continue reading
I love this article and just had to share it with you. I hope you enjoy it!
Thank you to the authors: Noah Goldstein’s, Steve Martin’s (no, not that Steve Martin’s) and Robert Cialdini wrote this pop psych book, Yes! 50 Scientifically Proven ways to be more persuasive – where a bunch of research in psychology is distilled into one readable volume. Continue reading
Ok. When I read this yesterday, I couldn’t believe it. Smoking has always been the leading cause of heart disease, as far back as I can remember. Now it’s being run down by Obesity. According to the CDC (Center of Disease Control) 129.6 Americans are overweight or obese. That is a staggering 64% of the population.
That is awful. It’s awful because its a choice. Sure, there are some rare instances where people are injured or sick and unable to exercise, or they have some rare thyroid disease, or bad genes. I get that. But let’s face it – most people just don’t eat right and exercise.
I read another story yesterday, too. It’s the most incredible article about weight loss and was SO inspired. This young mother went from 245 pounds to 120 pounds – ON HER OWN. She didn’t have Dr. Oz or Dr. Phil’s help. She didn’t have surgery or pay thousands for weight loss drugs or programs. She made the choice. Now, her life is different. She can leave the house without embarrassment, she can play with her kids, and she is now helping others. Read her story here: http://www.livestrong.com/blog/blog/betzis-success-story/
An article in Medical News today says: “In fact, obesity is becoming such a problem that many experts now say it is compromising all the benefits of recent improvements in health care and medical breakthroughs”. One step forward, two steps back – UGH!
At the end of the day, wellness is a personal choice. We can introduce you to Supplements, but can’t make you take them. We can give you a fitness or weight loss programs, but we can’t make you follow them. We can suggest positive, personal development books, but we can’t make you read them. If you want your life to be different, YOU have to make a change. Everyday. Not when you feel like it, or when it’s convenient – every single day.
So many people join gyms, businesses, clubs, sports, etc and get very excited. Then time goes on…their excitement fades. How do you keep going? Get an accountability partner. Join a team. Change your mindset and habits – which takes 30 days. Change your routine, reward yourself for accomplishments, or share your goals with a support system. Focus on all of the positive benefits to reaching your goals – focus on what it will look/feel like when you do.
Back to weight loss. It’s not rocket science: Calories in, calories out. A bag of chips and Diet soda is not healthy. Make better choices, get the nutrient you need, and exercise. If it helps to get on a weight loss program, then do it.
Heart Disease is going to cost the U.S. 314 BILLION Dollars in 2010. That’s almost a $1,000 per person! And don’t think you aren’t paying for it, even if you are skinny – you pay for it in taxes, in Health insurance, prescriptions, and probably other ways.
Time to put down the remote, get off the couch, and on the treadmill. Let’s make a difference!
To you health and success,
