Accountability

Accountability.  This may be the key to your success.

Who are you accountable to?  Don’t you find that if you are meeting a friend at the gym, that you are more likely to go?  Accountability is great when you are starting or running any business.

Are you accountable to your customers? To your team?  To your spouse?  If not, it’s so easy to be lazy.  “I will make that order tomorrow”, “I will follow up with that person next week”, “I will read that book someday”, I will work out later”.  Do any of these sound familiar?  We are all procrastinators.  I think it’s in our DNA.

I decided to be accountable to many people – whoever reads this blog.  I have created an accountability FaceBook Page.  Every single day, for the next 365 days, I will journal my goals for each day, and then later, I will post whether I reached some or all of them.   I have so many goals that I want/need to achieve and I AM READY to make them happen!  Please join me, too!

First things first:  I had a baby 16 months ago, so my excuse for the extra 15 pounds is over.  I have a growing business, but I can do more.  I want to read every day, even if it’s just for 5 minutes.  A little is better than nothing.  I want to have a better diet.  I want to deepen my relationships with God, my husband, my 3 children, my friends and all of my business partners.

My GOALS FOR September 21st, 2010 – September 21st, 2011:

First goal: Work out in some way, every day – even a 20 minute walk

Second goal: Read – every day, something non-fiction

Third goal: Become a better wife, mother, friend and business partner.

Fourth Goal: Do two meetings every single week, and get 20 people on my team doing the same

Fifth Goal: Start going to Church Weekly

Sixth Goal: Try a new recipe every week.  I love cooking!

Seventh and final Goal: Save Money. I would love to buy a house in the near future :)
Okay, 7 should be enough.  I need a routine. Habits take time to form.  Being accountable will surely help me do these things (hopefully).  I have such a hard time sticking to new regimens.  I am great with business – I have a great work ethic.  But working out – yuck.  Getting ready for church with 3 little ones, doesn’t happen.  Cooking?  Whatever is in the Fridge and takes the least time.  I fall asleep every time I start to read…I have a lot of work to do in the next 365 days.

So, Tomorrow is day 1.  I can’t wait!

Please join me on this journey ~ We can keep each other inspired :)

    Tara,

I commit to being in contact with my business partner Ioana this week to setup a goal for every week beginning next.

I also have on my list of things to do to tool around the back office and read the documents in the library to bring myself up to speed on the technology and benefits.

My goal for September is to get on the Monday calls and I have succeeded in keeping that commitment to myself.

I also kept my commitment to attend the Business Builder meeting last Saturday.

    Thanks!

    Miss Tara,

I love your 3rd, 5th and 7th goal. These are my same goals too.

My goal for the month of October is to help 20 people get started on their customized products. I work well under pressure and believe I can do it.

I have created my vision board with my family and it hangs in my office for us all to see everyday.

My goal is to have dinner at the dinner table with the family 3 times per week minimum. I just love connecting with Greg and the kids and it’s what fuels me.

I am reading one new book per month. I’m currently reading “Your first year in Network Marketing” by Mark Yarnell and all I can say is OMG! It’s incredible and encourage everyoen to read it!!

I have been so busy this past year and really have not taken time out to just be still and seek God’s face. I pray but I have not been still long enough to hear from Him so this weekend I’m going on Womans retreat and look forward to just being in his arms this weekend.

Tara, you are an incredible woman and you inspire me to be better today than I was yesterday.

    I love you my friend!
